Brighton is probably the ultimate family destination in the UK, and whatever your age, the hotels in Brighton will make your stay a truly memorable one. Brighton attracts around eight million visitors a year, and offers something for everyone, so you will never be short of something to do.

Brighton Pier opens at 10.00am every day, and is famous for its funfair and amusements. The fair is open from midday until 7.00pm and features a variety of rides that are suitable for children and families of all ages. For older ones there are thrills to be had, including the jaw-dropping Super Booster – described as the ultimate thrill ride – which is over 125 feet tall and features a 60mph drop! For amusements on the pier, look no further than The Palace of Fun, which has arcade games for all the family and some great prizes on offer. The Family Entertainment Centre also features arcade games, slot machines and a very family-friendly food-court.

The resort holds a Blue Flag Beach Award for cleanliness and quality of bathing water, making it an ideal destination for a family holiday, and visitors can rest assured that there are plenty of family-friendly hotels in Brighton.

The beach is a shingle-beach, although it does become sandy in places leading down to the sea. Along the seafront there are many more attractions, arcades and restaurants. A visit to Brighton Marina is a day out in itself, with shops, restaurants, cafes, and plenty to see and do, including the opportunity to take a sightseeing boat trip.

If however the weather looks dubious, The Sea Life Centre is located in Madeira Drive, and is the oldest functioning aquarium in the world. It features over 150 species including sea turtles and sharks. Lost in Amazonia is a mirror maze with piranhas, stingrays and tropical fish, all set against an enchanting rainforest backdrop.

For a bit of culture and a break from all things aquatic, the Booth Museum of Natural History, situated in Dyke Road, is always a family favourite. This is a wonderful and unique museum exhibiting half a million specimens, including butterflies, birds, a whale and the remains of dinosaurs. It is open every day except Thursdays. Alternatively, Brighton Toy and Model Museum is located in Trafalgar Street, close to Brighton Station. This magical museum is crammed with toys and games from days gone by and is guaranteed to entertain visitors whatever their age. It is open from Tuesday-Saturday.

Another must-see is The Royal Pavilion. This is one of Brighton’s most famous landmarks and is centrally located, close to many of the popular attractions and brighton hotels. Families can take part in a number of entertaining and educational activities. These could include acting as a guest of King George IV, learning to write in hieroglyphics in the Ancient Egypt Galleries or visiting the wizard at the Toy Gallery. The Pavilion’s Families Programme also offers a range of interactive family activities including art workshops, storytelling and costume workshops.

Should you even think about using your retirement savings and investments, including your 401k to fund your small business?

The conventional wisdom would argue that you shouldn’t. That money is set aside for a reason and, if you’re engaged in wise retirement investment, it should be rather secure. Putting it on the line to build your business is just too risky–and it can come with a host of unattractive tax consequences, too.

Anita Campbell generally agrees with that sentiment in “Should You Tap into Your Retirement Account to Fund Your Business?” However, she does carve out three exceptions to the “better left alone” rule. If you’re considering dipping into your 401k to help your business, you’ll want to see your situation listed as one of those exceptions!

Automobile insurance is quickly turning out to be an extremely costly necessity. On the other hand, countless households are struggling with expense control. That has developed into a mad hurry upon the part of drivers to get cheap car insurance before rates start to go up.

There are a variety of things it’s possible to do to keep their charges low. They cover anything from taking protective driving classes to keeping strong marks in college to changing his or her protection levels and deductibles. People who are committed to getting the best possible package on motor insurance should really pursue every single option at their disposal. On the other hand, not one of those strategies may have the effect of the best single way of cost cutting: Comparison shopping.

Finding time to compare car insurance providers is an effective way to save money. Those various other methods could help you to definitely shed a few $ $ $ $ off your monthly bill, but getting the right insurance provider initially can be worth hundreds, if not thousands, of $ $ $ $ over the course of a year. Typically the impact of your respective supplier choice on final prices will certainly dwarf just about any other factor that you might have control over.

One may well ımagine that there is almost no real difference with insurance firms and their prices. In the end, every one of them utilize very similar info when making choices about how exactly to calculate charges. Remarkably, though, there genuinely is a wide range of costs caused by some other distinctions within the organizations. While some insurance firms utilize aggressive advertising techniques in order to attract new customers, others rely strictly upon tradition or even word of mouth. This can have an impact on premiums.

The size of an insurer’s current pool of drivers may also help make a difference. Various corporations, even inside exact same industry, are generally managed in different ways. One business might need to charge considerably more to keep afloat or even cost-effective than another will. Those distinctions between insurance firms are usually shown in the prices they attach to their policies plus it makes clear why a particular service provider could be substantially lower than another can be. Furthermore, there is always the possibility that the supplier may be providing lower-than-usual rates in an effort to entice new business.

All of that leads to an inescapable conclusion: It is in the best interest of the insurance buyer to try and do a substantial amount of comparison shopping. A thorough review of various insurance firms, the plans they offer plus the prices of the plans presents the very best sole opportunity to save money on auto protection.

Have you been trying to get a much better price on auto insurance? If so, make smart shopping the first thing you do. Before you try and decrease charges via exclusive products, changes to your policy limits, upping your deductibles or doing something else using your present insurance firm, establish whether or not you’re with the correct organization or not?. A little bit of direct comparison will most likely reveal that you can secure competitive, if not better, coverage for a smaller amount than you might be already paying.

When you run a small business, that attitude can be a disaster. One of your goals as a small business owner should be to make yourself completely replaceable.

Andy Birol at SmallBizTrends.com recently underlined the truth of that principle in “Secret #1 for Growth: Train Someone to Sell and Communicate Better than You“.

Birol persuasively argues that you don’t want to be the only person in your company who can get the job done. You want to find and develop employees who can do things even better than you can.

If you’re still thinking like an employee, it’s time to change your perspective. Make yourself dispensable!

Mark Suster recently offered an interesting examination of appropriate startup funding levels. “What is the Right Amount of Money to Raise at a Startup?” tries to outline a perspective that will give new businesses enough money to get the ball rolling without having them bite off more than they need to chew.

Suster uses the analogy of hors d’oeuvres. When the tray comes around, he argues, you’re better off taking two rather than one–but that you should stop short of stuffing every item on the tray into your pockets.

If you’re trying to raise funds for your startup, Suster’s article is a must-read.

We all know that it isn’t a good idea to put ourselves in a situation where one customer can absolutely make or break our business. There’s a reason why every small business guide will contain some variation of the “don’t put all of your eggs in one basket” adage.

But how many eggs can you squeeze into a basket before it actually becomes dangerous? John Warrillow provides an answer to that question in Do You Pass the 15% Test?”

As the title suggests, Warrillow recommends relying on a single customer for no more than 15% of your total business. He bases that figure on his own research and provides an interesting analysis about how much any small business should rely on any single customer.
